Tides Medical Launches Personalized Wound Care Interoperative 3D Printer

In an exclusive partnership with ROKIT Healthcare, a South Korean biotechnology company with worldwide presence, Tides Medical is the sole distributor of this cutting-edge personalized medicine technology in the United States. APLICOR 3D is designed to revolutionize wound care by using the patient’s own tissue, Artificial Intelligence, and a 3D printing technology to craft a personalized skin graft at the site of care. A one-time procedural application not only meets the specific patient’s needs, but also reduces supply chain complexity, inventory management, and physician workload.

The personalized medicine system represents the future of wound care and healthcare in general as it integrates advanced artificial intelligence scanning and 3D printing using a patient’s adipose tissue. Using a specially calibrated tablet, a provider scans the wound to detect exact size, depth, and volume of tissue needed prior to sending a 3D file to the printer. Then, a provider harvests the fat needed and processes it into a bio-ink that is inserted into the 3D printer for final graft construction. The result is a one-time application of a patient-specific graft in under one hour, yielding efficacious wound closure.

The official public launch of APLICOR 3D is set for October 3, 2024, at the Symposium on Advanced Wound Care in Las Vegas, and Tides Medical is preparing for a full-scale national rollout in partnership with healthcare providers across the country.
